West London Tournament
The weekend started with a 3-1 loss vs the Burlington Bulldogs. We then took on the Cambridge Hawks coming out victorious with a 3-1 win. On Saturday morning the Mustang vs Mustang battle began with an early goal our team did not let up and landed us a 3-0 WIN. This win gave us a first place finish in round robin and took us to our semi final game vs the Cambridge Hawks. Our team was eager and hungry for a Championship game but knew they needed to come out strong and eliminate the Hawks. With a 4-0 Win that is just what our Mustangs did.
Sunday morning was the Championship game vs the Burlington Bulldogs. After battling back and forth for half the game the Mustangs were on the score board 1-0. With under 2 mins left in the game the Mustangs took a penalty, Burlington pulled their goalie and we found ourselves 6 on 4. A few seconds later the ref evened out the game by calling a penalty on Burlington. With less than 1 minute left Burlington ties the game up 1-1, bringing us into overtime. Despite our Mustangs playing the best game they have all season the Bulldogs won the Championship.
