On Saturday, December 6th, Thompson Arena at Western University was buzzing with excitement as we hosted our annual Junior Mustangs Day. From 9 AM to 9:30 PM, parents & fans enjoyed a full slate of games featuring our Grey and Purple Junior Mustangs teams across all age groups.
The atmosphere was electric with PA announcements, a live DJ, national anthems, and open concessions, creating a true “big game” experience for every player.
A special highlight was the Western Men’s Varsity Team dressing room tours, giving young athletes an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at what it is like to play Western Varsity. Huge thanks to Coach Singer and the varsity athletes for making this possible!
Beyond the hockey action, we proudly continued our tradition of giving back through a Food Drive in support of the London Food Bank. Thanks to the generosity of our members, families, and supporters, we collected over 2 truck loads of food which was matched pound-for-pound by Michael Sroka, Desjardins Insurance Agent—doubling the impact!
We also received an anonymous $500 donation, making this year’s initiative even more meaningful.
All told, our collective contribution to the London Food Bank was 1,500lbs of Food!!!
Thank you to everyone who came out, cheered, and contributed! Junior Mustangs Day is more than hockey—it’s about community, teamwork, and creating unforgettable memories.
We can’t wait to see you all again next year!
