Welcome to the Minor Midget Purple Mustangs Website. I am really looking forward to coaching the team this year.
Coaching Philosophy:
i) Have fun - after all, it is just a game
ii) Educate / teach the players about the game of hockey
iii) Motivate and encourage each player on an individual / team basis
iv) Support players through proper and effective discipline
Jobs / High School Sports / Other Pursuits:
Players have lives outside of hockey. Many are starting to find jobs and participate in high school sports / other activities. There is more to life than hockey and we are more than willing to accommodate these other pursuits so the players can have well rounded lives.
Tournaments:
All tournaments will be within 3 hours of London (Mustangs Policy) and we will not be away for more than 5 nights (Mustangs Policy). We will participate in 2 overnight tournaments and 1 or 2 local tournaments (within 1 hour of London).
Registration:
All players must be registered through their home association websites (North London or Oakridge) before participating in tryouts. Please check the Current Player List to make sure your player is registered. Please note that I will be updating the list regularly before the first tryout. If you do not see your player registered please bring proof of registration to the first tryout (email on phone is fine).
