U18 White Directly Helps the less fortunate in our community
The players on U18 White collected donated funds to purchase groceries and also gathered donated items. Using these donations the players made up hundreds of sandwiches (out of 52 loaves of bread) and care packages to take out to 3 different locations downtown London this past Wednesday to donate directly to less fortunate members of our City.
Giving out food, hot chocolate, toiletries, blankets and many other items the kids engaged with talking to people and helping, hearing their stories on how they got to where they are at now.
Some very sad stories were shared which gave the players insight into how lucky they are, and to reflect as how they were cold outside for 4 hours Wednesday evening when some less fortunate have to sleep outside the entire winter.
Great job team, the Coaches and our organization are very proud of your initiative and care for others.
