U10 Purple, Jr Mustangs (London Junior Mustangs)

The U16 and U18 Jr Mustangs’ initial season in the local OMHA Shamrock ‘A’ League as part of a 3-Year Pilot is off to a great start and exceeding expectations. Thanks to the partnership between ALLIANCE Hockey and the OMHA, our teams now benefit from strong local competition, reduced travel, and convenient weeknight games that give families more balance.

On Saturday, December 6th, Thompson Arena at Western University was buzzing with excitement as we hosted our annual Junior Mustangs Day. From 9 AM to 9:30 PM, parents & fans enjoyed a full slate of games featuring our Grey and Purple Junior Mustangs teams across all age groups. The atmosphere was electric with PA announcements, a live DJ, national anthems, and open concessions, creating a true “big game” experience for every player.

On November 15th 2025, the Western Mustangs men’s program retired jersey #9 and raised a banner to the rafters of Thompson Arena honouring Ryan Held.  Ryan played minor hockey in Lambeth, played Jr. B in St. Thomas, played in the OHL with the Kitchener Rangers and the London Knights and was drafted by the New Jersey Devils.  Ryan’s most memorable time playing hockey was when he attended Western University, playing from 2001 to 2005 and winning a national championship in 2002. 

Updated Oct 29th: Save the date, team photos will be Saturday, November 15, 2025 & Sunday, November 16, 2025 from 9-4pm each day at Kinsmen Arena; upstairs in Multipurpose Room #4. . Players/families will drop in for photos during these days when convenient for them. PLAYERS SHOULD BE IN FULL UNIFORM, Wearing Purple (INCLUDING SKATES). Following our comprehensive evaluation process, we are pleased to announce the final rosters for our U10 LJM Purple and Gray teams for the upcoming season.  The coaching staff would like to express sincere gratitude to all players who participated in the tryouts. Every athlete demonstrated tremendous skill, sportsmanship, and dedication throughout this process. The level of talent made our decisions extremely difficult, as all participants showed they can compete at this level.
