On Saturday, February 29th, 2020 Western University Professor and Sports Psychologist, Alan Edmunds, Ph.D. will be at the Imperio Banquet hall, 109  Falcon Street London for a two-hour presentation entitled "Doing It Right: How to Help Your Child Handle High-Pressure Sport".

This seminar is for parents and coaches of athletes involved in competitive sport. His presentation will cover some of the most asked questions. What kinds of pressure do these athletes face? How do they react to winning, or not making the team? How do they respond when injured? Can they emotionally get to the next level? Most importantly, how do Mom and Dad help them navigate these issues?

This seminar was developed to provide parents/coaches with the best approach to helping young athletes handle a high-pressure sport. This presentation will run from 10 am to 12 pm.  There will be a 15-minute break with healthy snacks.

Ticket prices are as follows:$25 per person$20 /person for groups of 10 or more. Ticket holders can bring one athlete with them for free! It is recommended that athletes who attend be around the 12+ age.

Alan’s focus is on the development and delivery of effective Mental Toughness Coaching. He has long believed that the ability to be mentally tough - confident, calm and focused under pressure - is the key to success in any sport, so he has built his sports psychology practice around this concept. In the past 15 years, he has helped athletes across a wide range of sports develop focusing abilities as well as an unshakeable belief in themselves. These improved mental abilities have taken many clients to the highest levels of competition.
