U10 Minor Atom/ U11 Atom Pathway Prep Phase
Following the guidelines put out by Hockey Canada, the Greater London Hockey Association (GLHA)  and the London Junior Knights (LJK) are pleased to announce the first phase of the Atom Player Pathway from September 7-12. The first phase (Prep Phase) is a non-mandatory 4 session warm-up before official evaluations at tryouts.

Who can attend? Any U10 Minor Atom/U11 Atom player residing in London, ON that is eligible for the 2021/22 hockey .

Why?
The Prep Phase is geared towards players that have not been on the ice regularly and allows them to warm up before official tryouts.

Is the Prep Phase mandatory?
Players have the option of attending or not, this is not an official tryout and no evaluations will be taking place during these skates by U10 Minor Atom/U11 Atom age coaches within the GLHA and LJK programs. Regardless of whether players attend the Prep Phase or not, they will still need to register with the GLHA or the LJK for the 2021-2022 Season Tryouts.

Who will run these sessions?

The sessions will be staffed with independent instructors and coaches from the GLHA members associations (London Bandits, North London Nationals, Oakridge Aeros, West London Hawks and the London Junior Mustangs) and the London Junior Knights. Coaches participating in these sessions will be non-parent coaches who coach at the Minor Peewee level and above. The sessions will focus on basic skills/skating drills that are age-specific to the Minor Atom/Atom age group.

How many players can register for the Prep Phase sessions?

Available spots will be based on ice availability and could be subject to change with any restrictions relating to COVID-19.  Plans are in place to accommodate all interested players but may restrict goalies up to a max of 16.
