The U11 Jr Mustangs Purple capped off a fantastic weekend of hockey by winning the 'A' division at the 2021 Dan Pulham Tournament.
Playing 5 games in 3 days without 2 of of valued players, the Mustangs played different positions throughout the weekend as many forwards got to try defense. After making it to the finals in our previous 2 tournaments and coming up short twice in heartbreaking losses in the finals the boys worked hard to see through the finals win.
The Jr Mustangs never trailed once all tournament and outscored our opponents 34-6 in our 5 games. Our awesome goaltending tandem of Brody and Ryan each had a shutout during the tournament and there was plenty of impressive team play and hockey plays put forward by the team.
The players on this team finished last season on 7 different teams and have really come together during our 8 weeks together so far this season. It was a weekend filled with fun and friendship as our team continued to grow together.
