Many of our teams have already participated in a tournament
this season.
Special Congratulations to our U12 White and U16 White Jr. Mustangs teams for
both winning their recent tournaments.
U16 White:
Hard work, team play, determination and class are what led the London Junior Mustangs White U16 to win the U16 A division at the Peter Mancuso November Challenge in Niagara Falls the first weekend in November. 3 games in round robin play resulted in leading on top of their pool. Semi-finals on Sunday with a huge win and capping the weekend off with a very close 2-1 win in the Sunday night finals!
The coaches are very proud of the boys' focus at the tournament and they are looking forward to seeing the work hard mentality continue in the regular season and at future tournament games!
U12 White:
This group continued where they left of from last season with tournament success by winning their division at the Clarence Rockland Crush 9th Annual Jacques "Coco" Lemay Rep B competitive tournament.
The team hit their stride right out of the gates and came together as a true team. The passing, the pressure, goaltending, defense and the offensive power all came together to win their first game. This confidence and team unity did not slow down as they progressed through the round robin undefeated. On the final day, the Mustangs played their hearts out in the semi-finals and had their eyes set on the Championship. In a grinders hockey game, the U12 White Junior Mustangs came out victorious with a convincing 4-0 win over the G.O.B Blues to take the Championship title. This made the late-night trip home from the Ottawa region a little bit easier.
