From Alliance: Arena and Inappropriate Conduct Racial Slurs
ALLIANCE Hockey Members, Attached are two Bulletins that require your widest distribution to Coaches, Parents and Players.

To have the most impact on all stakeholders in ALLIANCE Hockey we are mandating that the Bulletins are read at a Team Meeting by the Head Coach and Staff to both Parents and Players.

It is all hands on deck as we change the culture in our game to that of Respect, Inclusion and Diversity. Often times we receive powerful messages from our Membership.

In the Inappropriate Conduct Bulletin 22-019 is a message from a U14 AA/A Asian Player that we received 5 years ago.

Please make sure that this message is read to all players and parents, it had a strong impact on our Staff and Executive.  We hope that it will have the same impact on every participant in ALLIANCE Hockey.

Thanks for your assistance in creating change!

Sincerely,

Tony Martindale
Executive Director
Alliance Hockey

Families - A great Video to remind us why we are here:

John O'Sullivan remembers when youth sports was about children competing with other children instead of adults competing with each other through their kids.

Following nearly three decades as a soccer player and coach (playing and coaching at the Pro and NCAA D1 levels) O'Sullivan began working to reshape youth sports and inspire a major shift in culture. After serving as a youth coach for the Portland Timbers in Bend, he founded the Changing the Game Project and is now an international speaker and national best-selling author of Changing the Game: The Parents Guide to Raising Happy, High-Performing Athletes and Giving Youth Sports back to Our Kids.

A great 14 minute video for parents to watch:
