2025/26 LJM Tryout Information (updated April 3, 2025)
Every year the Jr Mustangs, the GLHA and its member partners strive to deliver competitive pricing for the upcoming season. As volunteer-run organizations, we work hard to ensure that our pricing stays as low and competitive as possible. We value your participation and want to ensure that we continue to offer programming that aligns with our cost structure and encourages participation for all ages of our hockey programming.
OHF Player movement update: London Boundaries
The Junior Mustangs remain exclusive to London-area players, and this policy will not change. The GLHA is recognizing Lambeth as part of our internal boundaries.
Players who were previously registered with LJM or anywhere in GLHA on a Non-Resident Player (NRP) or 'Right of Choice' status will be grandfathered in and allowed to participate this season without new restrictions.
Mustangs / GLHA Program Structure for A and BB:
A Program:
- For U10-U13 and U18 age groups, we will continue offering a city-wide program.
- For U14-U16, teams will be divided into Purple and Grey tiers based on their local boundary (below).
- Lambeth players will have a one time choice of which team they tryout for - Purple or Grey (U14-16)
TRYOUTS
· U10-16 start May 2, 2025 (schedule is below)
· U18 September 2025
· U10, U11, U12 & U13 Purple and Grey will be running combined tryouts in order to form 2 x Citywide teams
PREP SKATES begin April 21st
The new Hockey Canada Registration (HCR) system was updated throughout 2022 and now collects and stores player information from past seasons in your account. All details are kept confidential. Once teams are formed players will then need to fully register.

Body Checking Clinic:
Any players trying out in u14 and older ages is required to have completed a Body Checking clinic. It is no charge and shows up at the bottom of both links for U12-U16 White and Purple.
If your player is registered for the Jr. Knights Checking clinic or have done a HC Checking Clinic in past they are not required to do it again.

Jr. Mustangs tryouts begin immediately after the conclusion of LJK AA tryouts. Each Jr Mustangs teams coach will update their tryout lists accordingly.. Players who are last releases from LJK who register for Jr Mustangs and do not see their name on the tryout list are encouraged to reach out to their respective coach.
All Players must be registered with Jr Mustangs for tryouts to be able to step on the ice.
Players are guaranteed 1 skate. Any player not successful in being chosen for Jr Mustangs Teams are strongly encouraged to register with their respective GLHA association. All B/BB tryouts will take place in Spring 2025 for U10-U16 age groups.

Registration Fees for the 2025-26 Season:
Once the London Jr Mustangs Teams are formed, players will need to fully register. More information to follow.
NOTE: Anyone who is not presently in good standing with Jr Mustangs Minor Hockey will be required to settle all fees prior to being allowed to complete registration. No player will be allowed to skate with fees owing. Requests for refunds will not be accepted after the First Tryout.
REGISTRATION REFUND POLICY - Registration fee minus 55.00 administrative fee until September 1st,
Registration fee minus 100.00 cancellation fee, plus the administrative fee of 55.00 until November 1st,
After November 1st there will be no refunds.
