GUELPH POWERPLAY CHAMPIONS
Congratulations to all the players on your 2nd
Tournament championship of the season. It was as usual a complete team effort
and a great reward for all your hard work and dedication.
After finishing the round robin with a 3-1 record it was off
to the semi-finals for a rematch with a very strong Burlington Eagles team.
After playing a tremendous first 90% of the game, the kids withheld a furious
comeback by the Eagles and held on for the victory.
In the finals we faced league rivals Stratford. Despite the
late nights of bowling and mini sticks, the players kept momentum going and
capped off the weekend with a 5-2 victory.
