Off to the FINALS
What an amazing first two rounds of playoffs. After going game for game with the feisty Purple Mustangs we come out on top with a game 6 WIN at home.
Starting the semi finals against the 1st place in regular season Burlington Bulldogs, the Mustangs find themselves up 2-1 and with 4.8 seconds left in the game the Bulldogs tie it up. After 5 minutes of OT the game ends in a 2-2 tie. Game 2 is back in London at Argyle the Mustangs take the win 3-2. Headed back down the 403 for game 3. Again the game is back and forth. The Mustangs are up 4-3 but the Bulldogs do not quit and tie the game with 23 seconds left. The game ends after OT in a tie putting the Stangs up 4 points to 2.
The table was set and we were ready for game 4 at our home barn. After a shaky 1st period our puck stopper Tyce held us in the game and let our skaters settle. The 2nd started and the Mustangs did not hold back and took it to the Bulldogs and come out victorious in the semi finals.
WOW what a series. I am so proud of our team and want to congratulate the Mustangs on a team win. I would also like to give a shout out the London Purple Mustangs and The Burlington Bulldogs on 2 great playoff series.
Here we come Hamilton.
