Minor PeeWee, 2019-2020, White (London Junior Mustangs)

One day this won’t be your life anymore. And when it’s not, you won’t remember the things that you’d think. You’ll have no idea how many goals you scored. You won’t know how many penalties you had. You won’t be impressed with how many slap shots you made. For the most part, you won’t remember the wins or the losses at all.

A solid tournament was capped off with an exceptional performance by the Players.  Despite giving up an early goal they quickly rebounded and played with elevated confidence, solid performances all around led to a 6-3 win over their Purple Mustang counterparts.  Huge thanks from all the coaches for the awesome support shown again.  Mustangs we look to use this weekend as another stepping stone, be very proud of your efforts and keep up the awesome work.

Nations Cup brought numerous moments to remember, the players had great success on the ice and the fun carried over to other the weekend festivities.  Unfortunately our 4 and 1 record was not enough to propel Canada to a tournament win despite our 11-1 win over the Fort Wayne Force team on Sunday in the 7 point game. Another great job Mustangs.

Friday night under the big lights of Budweiser Gardens our Mustangs enjoyed an exhibition game win 5-4 vs. their Purple counterparts.  It was a fun time had by all that seen the defence play forwards for the evening and vice versa for the forwards.  We even managed to change the goalies on the fly three times during some significant offensive zone pressure that resulted in the tying goal at the time.  Thank you to everyone for participating.

This past weekend saw our Mustangs fall just short in the OT final of the Woodstock Regional Silver Stick tournament but that doesn't tell the full tail.  The weekend brought come from behind victories, stellar goaltending performances, dramatic and exciting finishes and great teamwork.  Not even mentioning the fact they played two intense games of hockey an hour apart, a further challenge of mind and body.  Mustangs another fabulous weekend of hockey.
