U12 White, Jr Mustangs (London Junior Mustangs)

Fresh off of the Team Canada win in Detroit, the boys spent last weekend in Belle River at the Memorial Tournament. Day one saw a couple of gritty performances against our Canadian foe. A pair of 2-1 wins made day 1 a roaring success. Day 2 wasn't quite so rosy, as the American teams hit us like a wall(perhaps they were a little unhappy with Canada smashing the USA the week before). Whatever their motivation, they stopped us from advancing to the final. No semis in this tournament, as it was only the top 2 teams moving on. Third place would have to do. Our annual Jr. Mustangs Day (Saturday, December 7th) at Thompson Arena was a huge success, both on and off the ice. It was a fun day of competitive hockey with great 'Purple vs White' games played by all of our players within our organization. Our teams also took the initiative to give back to our community, collecting toys for the Salvation Army's Toy Drive, contributing unwrapped toys or New Hats, Mits or Socks.

Canada takes the GOLD! For many hockey players, representing their country is a dream come true. This year, the 2024 CCM Nations Cup brought that dream to life for 266 teams. Hosted in Detroit, the event welcomed 133 American teams and 133 Canadian teams.

The Memorial Representative Hockey Tournament is one of the premier U10-U13 (Atom and Pee Wee) AA - C level tournaments hosted in the province of Ontario.  Each year more than 60 teams compete across the offered divisions.  Often teams will return the following year as a result of the hospitality and first class facilities offered at this tournament.

GLHA London Jr Mustangs are proud of our new partnership with Heroic Minds (though Alliance Hockey) to offer additional mental health support to U13 and older players in our program this season to help our players be the best possible version of themselves.  We believe that player mental health habits, behaviour, relationships and lifestyle goals are important. Jr Mustangs players and team staff from will have access to the Heroic Minds platform developed by former OHL player Ben Fanelli, who overcame a traumatic brain injury before going on to become OHL and CHL Humanitarian of the Year ...
