GLHA Jr. Mustangs Seeded A/AA program simply wouldn’t exist without the incredible volunteers who step up to coach youth hockey in London.
We extend our sincere appreciation to all current and past coaches for their dedication, leadership, and lasting impact on our players and our community.
Coaching in the Jr. Mustangs program is not just about hockey skill instruction—it’s a leadership commitment to fostering a positive, demanding environment that helps young athletes become healthy, confident, resilient, and capable.
If you’re passionate about developing young athletes on and off the ice, we invite you to apply for a Head Coach position for the 2026–2027 season. Please apply early; applications close Feb 21, 2026.
Tryouts for all age groups (except U18 which is planned for September) are planned to start late April. Prep Skates will run in April prior to tryouts.
For next season all ages will be Citywide with open borders and run at central rinks.
All applications will be reviewed but not all will receive an interview. Interviews could start while applications are open and run into late February. All interested coaches are encouraged to apply.
Coaches will be selected by a team of London Jr Mustangs Committee members after interviews conclude by Feb 29th. Successful applicants will be notified and posted on the website.
Selected coaches are expected to be responsible to help run Tryout Prep skates and tryouts at different age groups prior to our tryouts.
All coaching applicants should familiarize themselves with the Head Coach job description and Coaches Fair Play Pledge as set out by Hockey Canada. Successful coaches will be expected to uphold the values of the
London Jr. Mustangs and the
GLHA, recognizing that they serve as representatives of both organizations.
Each application form will automatically be emailed to the London Jr Mustangs Chair.
