Minor Peewee, Minor Peewee, 2015-2016, Purple (London Junior Mustangs)

The London Jr Mustangs Minor Peewee Purple team were finalists at the Wayne Gretzky International tournament held over the Christmas holidays.  After going 0-2 on the first day the Mustangs got it together on day 2 to defeat New Hamburg in the morning in a hard fought game. In the first round of the playoffs, they defeated an even tougher New Hamburg team that had revenge on their mind. The Semi-finals were a rematch against a Cambridge team that was 2-0 versus the Mustangs this year. The Mustangs prevailed in an overtime win to make it to the final. The London Jr Mustangs Minor Peewee Purple team are champions of the Toronto Aces Michael Hutton September Classic. After going 4-0 in the round robin the Purple Minor Peewees met a tough Bradford team in the championship game. In an exciting battle the Mustangs hung on for a well deserved 3-1 win, and a great  start to the season. Congratulations  Mustangs!

There will be a mandatory Parent Meeting (at least one) on Wednesday June 3rd, at 7pm at the Oakridge Optimist Room. The room is located directly beside the entrance to the Oakridge Arena. 

I would like to thank all of the players that participated in our selection process and wish everyone a very successful 2015/16 hockey season. These decisions were very difficult and I appreciate all the effort made by each player. We have 2 Exhibition Games planned to allow these players a final opportunity to show us their skill and game play. Friday-May 22nd 6:45pm Western Fair Tonys Saturday-May 23rd 5:30pm Western Fair London City Please arrive approximately 45 mins prior to the game, and be dressed and ready 10 mins prior to game time. Bring your own water bottle. There are no easy decisions at this time, and I appreciate how hard each of you have worked.
