Atom Junior Mustangs "Purple" Tryouts
Welcome to the Atom Junior Mustangs Purple Team.

The Atom "Purple" will consist of fifteen skaters and two goalies. Players trying out will be evaluated on hockey skills, game performance, motivation and above all - effort.
All players will have a fair and equal opportunity to be part of this team, regardless of what level, or what association they played for last season. Please note that Non-partisan volunteers will be assisting with player evaluations and team selection.
On the release dates, you will be advised via this website if your player is to continue with spring competitive tryouts.
In advance of team selection, please be aware of the commitment required to play on a competitive team:
Cost - In addition to the regular hockey registration, additional costs include a Competitive Surcharge, and approximately $650 in other team fees (tournaments, additional ice, exhibition games, team clothing, etc.)
Travel - We will be playing approximately 30 regular season games against teams from Sarnia - Hamilton. As well, we will be participating in 4-5 tournaments, at least 2 of these will consist of overnight travel.
Holiday Games - League games are scheduled during Thanksgiving, Christmas, March Break, and Easter. Playoffs begin in January and run through April, including March Break. Please make your travel plans accordingly.
Fundraising - All team families are required to participate in fundraising activities throughout the season, to supplement team costs. We will be asking that each player/family also get a minimum $250.00 sponsorship from the community.
