Minor Peewee, Minor Peewee, 2016-2017, White (London Junior Mustangs)

The Minor Peewee Jr Mustangs White team won their third tournament of the season yesterday by taking the final of the Byron Optimist West London Tournament with a 3-2 victory over the Cambridge Hawks.

After losing in the semi-finals in the Barrie Tournament, the Jr Mustangs refocused and looked to put together another good run in the Dan Pulham Bandits Tourney in London this past weekend. It was an exciting start with their first game being played at Bud Gardens.

This past weekend the Jr Mustangs White Minor Peewee team traveled to Grimsby in their first tournament of the year. The team looked great right out of the gate with a convincing 4-0 victory over Whitby. They followed that up with a strong showing against Burlington but fell 4-3. The Mustangs regrouped and beat host Grimsby in the quarters 3-2 and then a come from behind 4-3 victory in the semis versus Oakville. We will be having a parents meeting next Thursday May 26th at 7pm to go over team rules, look at the team budget, and establish what the season will look like. Please ensure at least one parent attends. Players are welcome to come but are asked to bring a stick so they can play road hockey in the tennis courts with their teammates. It will be held at Clarke Road Secondary School (my classroom 124) which is located at 300 Clarke Road beside Argyle Arena. Park in the North lot of the school (closest to Walmart).
